Role and training content
The position of mechatronics technician combines the training fields of electronics and mechanics. They build, repair and maintain electronic components as well as complex systems and machines. You will learn the principles of mechanics as well as electronics. During your training you will learn to use and apply different drive systems, be it pneumatic, electric or hydraulic.
This will allow you to identify and solve problems using circuit diagrams and technical drawings. Programming the systems using PLC controls is also part of the training content. As a mechatronics technician, a wide range of further training opportunities will be open to you, including programmer, master craftsman/woman or technician. Furthermore, completing a degree is also an option.

After production, you check the manufactured components for dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Maintenance and inspection of the machines is also part of the training content.
